As for the sound absorbing acoustic ceiling of Knauf, it has also a decorative purpose. Its boards having different shaped holes create an aesthetic beauty.

The block wall cannot be destroyed after the fire, but the fire violates its internal structure, accordingly, taking into account all construction rules, it must be destroyed and rebuilt. In our case, Knauf wall will be heated to 100 degrees in half an hour, and within 45 minutes the cotton inside will start to disappear, melt, and finally the wall will be burned, but no one will be damaged as a result of ruining”, – explains Knauf Director General in Georgia.
Knauf also has a fire resistant board that never burns and its structure is not damaged . The inside of the board is reinforced by glass fibers and is covered with a special fiberglass. As specialists say, one cannot feel the heat during the fire when touching 25-millimeter thick boards. The similar board was first applied in Tbilisi airport tower, followed by Kutaisi airport. Currently it is applied by various elite hotels and shopping centers.
Plaster and similar boards comprise 90% of the US construction market. The walls in this world’s leading country are not built at all with blocks and bricks. Today, the construction sector of Georgia is still using old technologies in construction, block wall being one of the examples, that has long been considered to be already last century history for developed countries.
